The children we seek to help are among the worse off of all the world. When times are bad for us, these the poorest and most helpless among us, suffer the most.
Let's feed some children
Malnutrition helps kill 5 million children a year. On any one day, 20 million children are suffering from severe acute malnutrition, according to UNICEF. If you are eating, then you are infinitely better off than these poor children.
There are heroes out there who help these children. One such group is the International Medical Corps. It runs nutrition programs from over 200 sites in 10 countries and serves more than 35,000 beneficiaries each month. Its programs feed many children suffering from malnutrition.
In 2006, Doctors Without Borders, treated 150,000 severely malnourished children, primarily with ready-to-use food, a revolutionary new product that is radically changing the response to malnutrition. Let's help Doctors Without Borders buy that food.
